Hi,
Nice that you display user's profiles to the public. How can I delete my account?

Patch
I have removed your email address details, if you want your account fully removed then let me know, I did not develop the code base ( you can submit a patch to Nicolas the forum codebase repository details are in the FAQ and it will be considered for the next release ) but I have some limited access to amend database fields and remove spam. Sorry if your email info is compromised, if you want a direct response from Nicolas then use haxelang googlegroup.
Cheers
Justin

I agree, I've wanted to delete my haxe account in the past for the exact same reason.
I'ld like it if my email wasn't visible at all or my real name my default. I would still opt-in to show my real name, because it's more professional then an alias and I'd like to get recognized within the industry.
However if I was here for strictly personal use, then I wouldn't identify myself.

Hi Justin,
Thank you for sorting this for me! I'm happy to keep my account now, just didn't want my email being indexed by Google (even if it has 'at' instead of '@').
Perhaps have user profiles only visible to logged-in members?
Anyway, thanks for the quick response.

Feel free to submit a pull request with improved code, wiki source is here:
https://github.com/ncannasse/hxWiki/blob/master/src/handler/Forum.hxor if your a database type guy feel free to help me setup a test wiki on my personal server and on my machine and then I may start trying to make improvements, but I am more of a front end coder and my initial attempt to setup did not work, as I don't do databases, and have only dabbled a few times with spod, but once stuff is setup then it's just code - so changing some stuff is not hard.
I have changed your email entry to null which is something I can easily do at your request since the wiki has a nice interface for that, but I think it is important to stress that it is up to users to improve the wiki in any way they feel is important, this is not a commercial project where people are paid to improve things, and Nicolas who built the wiki is the creator of the haxe language and so is very busy developing haxe so his time to improve the wiki is very limited, and personally I prefer he spends his time improving haxe.
but if you feel strongly Nicolas reads all the haxe googlegroups... haxelang, haxenext or haxedev, but rarely this forum. There is also an NME (a haxe library) forum at haxenme.org which is more active than this one and probably protects your email better.
I am happy to remove a users email from the database on a user by user basis, if either of you want to improve the forum and wiki I would be happy to assist in anyway I can - in the limited way a front end dev can but I am more interested in animation and 3d.
Best Regards
Justin
