  When was it created?

  
  When was haXe created although the projects seeds started much further back with Nicolas's MTASC. While Nicolas still leads the project there are many others involved, specifically I am aware of Franco who covers the PHP and Hugh ( Huge ) the C++ target and many others involved in creating supporting libraries and submitting patches and enhancements, and tutorials including Lee and Franco who wrote the excellent haXe book.

  The HaXe compiler is written in Ocaml, the source code is here and detail of compiling it are here

  If you want to have a space
